The Melman Report on Northern Gold Mining Inc.
Northern Gold Mining Inc. is a Toronto-based Canadian junior mining company working actively and aggressively to advance their primary project, the Garrison Gold Property located in the historic mining area located near Kirkland Lake and Timmins in Northeastern Ontario. Geologically, this region is part of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt and includes the Porcupine-Destor and Munro Fault Systems.
The Garrison Property hosts two advanced-stage exploration targets, the Jonpol and Garccon Deposits, as well as the lesser developed “903” gold mineralized area. NI 43-101 compliant mineral resources have been completed for each of these three areas. Thanks to significant prior exploration and developmental work, mining infrastructure is already in place at both Jonpol and Garccon.
In total, the Garrison Property consists of 35 patented claims in Garrison Township, approximately 40 Km north of Kirkland Lake and about 100 Km east of Timmins. Mining infrastructure in the area is excellent with good main and access roads; ample water and electricity; and numerous sources of both skilled labour and mining supplies available from neighbouring communities.
Northern Gold just announced (Press Release, April 12, 2011) a definitive agreement to acquire a 96.4% interest in the Linton Claim Group consisting of eight patented mining claims adjacent to the eastern boundary of the Garrison Gold Property. This acquisition brings the total area of the Garrison Property to 476.1 hectares.
The company is presently in the second year of an option agreement with ValGold Resources Ltd. Whereby it may earn up to an 80% interest in the garrison Property, but they just announced a new definitive agreement with ValGold, subject to closing and regulatory approval, whereby Northern Gold will acq1uire 100% ownership of the Garrison property.
Northern Gold is presently in the process of releasing assay results from its ongoing 30,000 meter drill program.
A full, in-depth study will be completed as soon as a property visit takes place, planned for the earliest possible time.
